I know there are many opinions about the vaccines. And I will start by saying I have never received a flu shot. I purposely avoid them! I never had my children vaccinated with the flu shot when they were younger. My son did have the flu once and he thankfully kicked it .
Coronavirus isn’t the flu in my opinion and as I’ve mentioned before in other posts I have been frightened of this virus and what it is doing to our society. I’ve watched the Virus on YouTube since January of 2020 and China was literally ripping people from their homes to test them and quarantine the sick. I felt as if a monster was coming. I closed my business and when I reopened I cut down significantly to what we needed for essential income. We are so thankful we have that option. We are so thankful to be in the situations we have because we know others are not so fortunate.
We do know people that have had the virus and we do know some that were hospitalized. We also know some that had a very mild case. My daughter quarantined twice because she works in the food industry. That was scary. She was directly exposed. My younger son is the only child I have left in the public school and I chose not to allow him to return this year. Why would I choose to stay home with him all these years to ship him off to school during a pandemic?
I started realizing that he will need a vaccine. My daughter will need one for college. I am afraid of the vaccines! Like I mentioned above I am afraid of the flu shot. I’m writing this to help others ease their mind. In today’s day we have the opportunity to share our experiences and I want others to read this and see they are not alone. I expect that soon perhaps by September we will have mandatory vaccines for school and college in NY state. We have been moving very fast with vaccines here. So how can I send my children off to get vaccinated for covid if I do not get vaccinated first!? I knew as a mom I had to do it first! One thing I’m concerned with is that the younger people get a different vaccine brand than adults. Right now they are giving my sons age the phizer vaccine and I had the Johnson and Johnson. Which is super scary because the day after I received it they paused it for concerns with blood clots. Specifically in woman and so far 8 woman have come down with the rare cases of blood clots.

After reading the article above I felt a strong message to share my experience. Not many people seem to be sharing their experience and it seems that sharing mine may help others ease their mind because if anything I can be one person that is still living and healthy so far. I received the shot April 12 and it’s now been three days. I read things every day where people speculate that those that get the vaccine will die. Some people believe strongly that we are microchipped when vaccinated. Some believe we are getting genetically altered. Well whatever you believe I’m here to tell you that almost everyone I know is vaccinated now and they are all alive. They are all doing well. Time will tell what this vaccine will do for us but as a mother I wasn’t willing to send my children to get vaccinated without doing it myself. I trusted in the science behind the virus so I had to also trust the science behind the virus. Before any judgement is made I’m cautious and skeptical about everything and I always do my own research. I recognize that our government lies to us and manipulates us but I do not think we have to be scared about the vaccine. Let’s trust science. It is scary! We have been vaccinating for years and all those parents that are afraid to vaccinate their children probably NEVER hesitated with any other vaccine. Yet they are having a panic attack over a new vaccine. I get it but do your research about vaccines because you have been putting these in your bodies for decades and you have been putting them in your babies bodies for years as well. This was a fast rollout I get it but a lot of the reasons people are against the covid vaccine they have failed to realize that other vaccines are just as risky. Do your own research and educate yourself about these things. That’s what I did.
