Febrile Seizures

With all the coverage in the media about Tylenol I got to thinking I’m not sure I would have survived without it. Have you heard of Febrile Seizures? When my son was 13 months old he starting running a low grade fever . I took him to the dr and he was out in amoxicillin. Two days later he started seizing. I recognized it right away and told my husband to call 911. He said “what’s the number?” That’s what panic does. You forget obvious things. I took the phone. And called 911 and til then I think my baby is having a seizure. He then went into a full blown  grand mall and turned blue. I put him in the kitchen floor tilted his head back and gave him three breaths. The tears still full my eyes as I write this and he is 23 years old now. When the ambulance arrived they told me that I may have saved his life. After that day every time he was sick we had to rotate Tylenol and ibuprofen to keep his temp down or he would go into seizures. This continued until he was six years old. I wish I had know about holistic remedies then. Although I still believe that without Tylenol and ibuprofen I may not have my boy here with me today.
